MONTEZUMA, Ga. -- According to the Montezuma Police Department's Facebook page, an arrest has been made after a man was stabbed to death.
Officers were dispatched to the Country Village Apartments on Vienna Road on Sunday. When they arrived, they found 50-year-old Daniel Louis Ford with stab wounds.
Ford was transported to Phoebe-Sumter Hospital in Americus where he was later pronounced dead.
An arrest warrant for Felony Murder, Malice Murder and Aggravated Assault was signed on Aaron McDonald, 37, of Montezuma on Sunday.
McDonald turned himself into the Montezuma Police Department Monday morning.
"Our prayers are with the Ford family during this time. I have known Mr. Ford for over 20 years and he was a great person and he will be known for always riding his bicycle throughout the Macon County area," Chief Eric Finch of the Montezuma Police Department stated on the Facebook page. "It is truly sad that people don't have respect for human life anymore.
