Bibb County deputies investigating shooting
MACON, Ga. -- The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery in Macon just before 9 p.m. Friday that left two people injured.
According to a release, it was reported 39-year-old Derrick Moye was in front of his house on Villa Crest Ave., when an unknown black male demanded his wallet. The two got into a fight when it's reported the unknown man shot Moye. During the fight, Moye's mother, 65-year-old Marnie Moye, came out of the house and was also shot in the abdomen and the forearm. Both Derrick and Marnie were taken to the Medical Center Navicent Health, where Derrick is in critical but stable condition and Marnie is in stable condition.
The shooter is described as a black male around six feet tall and 200 lbs. Anyone with information about this is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 478-751-7500 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
