Man shot in back on Winton Ave. in Macon
MACON, Ga. -- A man was shot and sent to the hospital Thursday night on Winton Ave. in Macon.
According to Sgt. Linda Howard with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, the situation is being considered as an aggravated assault.
Sgt. Howard confirmed that a person was shot, but said the victim was being uncooperative at first and refused to go to the hospital for treatment.
The victim later agreed to follow paramedics to Navicent Hospital, where he is now in stable condition.
Bibb County deputies confirmed that the victim was shot in the back.
Investigators said they received a 911 call about 9:30 p.m.
The sheriff's office believes that the man was shot in another location.
Deputies have not made any arrests.
