Byron woman charged with cutting minor at Centerville mall
CENTERVILLE, Ga. -- A 38-year-old Byron woman was arrested and charged for aggravated assault and battery for reportedly cutting a minor at a Centerville mall on Wednesday.
According to Centerville Police Captain Bill Boney, Keisha Woodson faces one count of aggravated assault and five counts of battery stemming from an altercation with several juveniles at the Galleria Mall.
Boney said officers responded to the mall food court just after 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Witnesses told officers that Woodson used a "razor device similar to a box cutter" to cut one juvenile.
That information gave officers enough information to obtain a warrant for Woodson's arrest.
The victim suffered a gash on her upper right arm. Several other minors were injured during the altercation, according to Boney.
The investigation is still ongoing.
