Food mart employee robbed in West Macon
MACON, Ga-- The Bibb County Sheriff's office is investigating after a West Macon convenience store employee was robbed at gunpoint on Wednesday night.
According to a release, the robbery happened just before 9 p.m. at the FP Food Mart located at 2675 Montpelier Avenue.
Investigators say employee left the store carrying a deposit bag and was approached by a man with a gun as he got into his vehicle.
The suspect demanded the deposit bag from from the employee before he got away with the bag containing an unknown amount of cash.
Investigators described the suspect as a shirtless black male, wearing blue jeans with a black t-shirt covering his face.
No one was hurt during the incident.
