Deputies: Woman's pocket book stolen from car at Macon Kroger while getting gas

MGN

MACON, Ga. -- A woman says a man went into her car and stole her belongings while she was pumping gas at a Macon Kroger, according to deputies.

According to an incident report, deputies were called to the Kroger on Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. on Monday just after 11:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, a woman told deputies she pulled up to the pump to get gas and then got out of her vehicle -- leaving it unlocked and her driver's door open.

The woman said when she walked back to the front of her vehicle to put her debit card back in her pocket book, the pocket book was gone.

The manager of Kroger showed deputies the surveillance tape, which showed a white man drive up to the side of the woman's car while she is behind it getting gas. The man then gets out with a white glove on, opens the door, grabs the pocket book and gets back into his car and leaves.

Deputies were unable to get a tag number of the suspected car.

According to the report, the woman later said someone used her Dillards Credit Card and also purchased $75 of gas.

The incident is under investigation.
