Downtown pubs expect big crowds for St. Patrick's Day
MACON, Ga. -- Downtown Macon businesses expect a large number of customers Friday night in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.
General Manager of Bearfoot Tavern Brandon Boyd said as the only Irish Pub in Macon, they've prepared for one of their biggest days of the year.
Last year St. Patrick's Day was the restaurant's best selling day with over 1,000 orders.
This year they've tripled their orders of Guinness and have prepped for an influx of guests.
Next door at the Ocmulgee Brew Pub, Kaitlyn Cressin, an employee of the restaurant, also said they hope to see an increase in sales. They've got a special green beer on tap for the holiday.
They saw a huge lunch crowd earlier Friday and are prepared for any even larger one during the evening.
