UPDATE: 3rd murder suspect arrested by Dublin PD
UPDATE (Wednesday, 4:45 p.m.):
DUBLIN, Ga. -- The Dublin Police Department has caught a third suspect in the murder of a Dublin man that took place Monday.
According to Police Chief Tim Chatman, three men have been charged with the murder and are currently in custody.
Chief Chatman said the third suspect -- who had fled the scene on Monday -- was arrested Tuesday afternoon without incident by the Dublin Police Department.
According to the Laurens County Sheriff's Office, two of the men charged with murder are underage. A third suspect, Sontavious Jackson, is 19-years-old.
DUBLIN, Ga. -- At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Monday, the Dublin Police Department responded to a call of a victim who had been shot at Academy Ave. and Dudley St.
Tim Chatman, Chief of Police for the Dublin Police Department, said that officers arrived on the scene and made contact with the victim, who was later pronounced dead.
Chief Chatman said that according to witnesses, a man shot the victim before fleeing the scene.
He said that the law enforcement was able to apprehend two suspects were with the shooter but that he is still on the run.
Chief Chatman said that officers believe he could still be in the area but that he may be armed and dangerous.
He said that law enforcement has been receiving leads on the incident and that, "Citizens have done a marvelous job with getting information."
