Elderly woman dies in fatal traffic accident
WARNER ROBINS, Ga.-- A traffic crash in Warner Robins on Wednesday afternoon now leaves a woman dead and several others injured.
According to a release by the Warner Robins Police Department, it happened just before 3 p.m. at the intersection of Russell Parkway at Tharpe Road on December 27th.
Police say a 2008 Chevy Colorado driven by Frank Henley, 86, was heading southbound on Tharpe Road when it pulled out in front of a 1997 Ford Econoline van driven by Elvis Bryant, 50.
There were four passengers in the van driven by Bryant who was traveling westbound on Russell Parkway. Passengers in the van suffered minor injuries.
Investigators say both people in the Chevy Colorado were not wearing seat belts during the crash, including passenger Lottie Floyd, 90 , who suffered a head injury along with Henley.
Floyd passed away from her injuries at an area hospital several hours later. Mr. Henley is still in the hospital.
