Former Bibb County Sheriff's deputy indicted for aggravated assault, violation of oath

MACON, Ga. -- The Bibb County Sheriff's deputy who was suspended with pay following an altercation with a man at a gas station in August has been indicted on one count of aggravated assault and one count of violation of oath by a public officer.

According to the indictment, Albert Jordan assaulted another man with a handgun as well as willfully and intentionally violated the terms of his oath as prescribed by law.

Jordan was fired from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office for the incident.
