Four charged in 2015 murder of men found dead in burning car
MACON COUNTY, Ga. -- Four men have now been charged in the deaths of two men who were found dead in a burned car in September of 2015.
The bodies of Willis Turner and Delvin Wilson were found in a Kia Soul that was found engulfed in flames in a wooded area near Marshall Mill Road in Lizella on September 20th, 2015.
An autopsy later revealed that the two men were killed by gunfire.
A 17-month investigation into the two men's deaths led authorities from across the area to Geoffrey Larry, Nicholas Larry, C.J. Holmes and Marcus Hannor, according to a press release from the District Attorney for the Southwestern Judicial Circuit Plez Hardin.
Officials believe that the two men were killed in Macon County.
The release states that 37 warrants have been issued for the four men for murder and related crimes stemming from the deaths of Turner and Wilson.
The warrants are expected to be served in the next few days, following by the scheduling of the men's first appearances before a magistrate judge.
Hannor is currently in custody in the state prison system on firearm charges out of Macon County and Geoffrey Larry, Nicholas Larry and Holmes are in custody and awaiting trial on federal drug charges.
