Georgia College ranks among top 10 online programs in the state
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. -- A Middle Georgia college has been ranked among the top 10 online programs in the state.
Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville ranked sixth on OnlineColleges.com's list.
The websites ranks accredited colleges and universities on a variety of factors, including affordability, student services and the availability of online programs.
Dr. Sallie Coke, a professor of nursing and interim associate dean at GCSU said their success is due to their peer review program.
"All of our classes actually get examined to see if we are hitting those standards," she said. "Are we doing the things we need to be doing? Are we making measurements in our classes that will reflect what we want our students to be doing?"
All schools on the list were scored on a 10-point scale against different metrics using data from the National Center for Education Statistics' integrated post-secondary education data system.
