Georgia Lottery players have chance to win big
MACON, Ga. -- Mega Millions and Powerball have combined to more than $730 million.
Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is $318 million, and Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot has reached $420 million.
Since Jan. 9, the Mega Millions jackpot has rolled 18 times and continued growing. Two jackpot payment options are available to Mega Millions players: the $318 million annuity prize paid out as one immediate payment followed by 29 annual graduated payments; or the cash option, which is approximately $187 million.
Since Jan. 10, Powerball has also rolled 18 times and has continued growing. Powerball offers two jackpot payment options: the $420 million jackpot prize paid over 29 years in 30 graduated payments; or the cash option, which is approximately $248 million.
Tickets for both Mega Millions and Powerball are two dollars and can be bought at Georgia Lottery retailers.
For an additional one dollar per play, Mega Millions players can multiply prizes with the Megaplier option. Mega Millions also offers a new optional $3 wager, Just the Jackpot, that allows players to receive two entries for a chance to win the game’s jackpot prize only.
Powerball players can multiply prizes with the Power Play option for an additional $1 per play.
The draw date for Mega Millions will be Tuesday, March 13, and the draw date for Powerball will be Wednesday, March 14.
Proceeds from Mega Millions and Powerball benefit Georgia education, including the state's HOPE Scholarship Program and its Pre-K Program.
