Gordon State College president to retire
BARNESVILLE, Ga.-- Gordon State College President Max Burns will retire at the end of this year.
He has served since January 2012 in that position after working as a dean at Mike Cottrell College of Business at the University of North Georgia.
According to a release from UGA, Burns helped increase graduation rates by 12 percent.
He also gets credit for increasing the full-time, first time freshman retention rate by 24 percent.
GSC will start looking for a replacement.
