High speed chase with GSP troopers ends in crash
MACON, Ga.-- On Monday, a suspect lead GSP troopers on a chase in Macon that came to and end on Brookdale and Vineville Avenue.
According to Cpl. Michael Burns, Anthony Braswell, 29, of Warner Robins was initially pulled over during a traffic stop at the Kroger store on Forsyth Road for an expired tag and suspended driver's license.
Braswell then reportedly sped away from the traffic stop leading a GSP trooper on a full out chase and reaching speeds of more than 100 mph.
During the chase Braswell drove in the opposite lane and hit a truck with two people inside who had to be taken to an area hospital for minor injuries.
Troopers say they had to tase Braswell as he tried to run away on foot. He now faces a number of charges including Felony Fleeing and Driving on a Suspended License.
