Infant dies 8 days after being found in hot car in Milledgeville
MACON, Ga. -- An infant who was hospitalized after being left in a hot vehicle in Milledgeville last week has died.
The 6-month-old boy was found in a hot car outside a home on Brantley Way on Aug. 28. He was taken to the Oconee Regional Medical Center to be stabilized then transferred to the Medical Center Navicent Health in Macon, where he died on Tuesday morning.
The investigation into this case is still ongoing and it is not clear whether any arrests have been made.
The infants body will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for an autopsy.
