LCSO: person calling from sheriff's office number, saying people have active warrants
LAURENS COUNTY, Ga. -- The Laurens County Sheriff's Office has made a Facebook post that states someone is using the number for the sheriff's office to call people and let them know that the LCSO has warrants against them.
According to the Facebook post, the person calling is asking people to turn themselves in.
In their Facebook post, the sheriff's office said that this is either a joke or a scam and advises individuals to hang up the phone immediately.
The sheriff's office also emphasized in their Facebook post to not give out any personal information.
WGXA reached out to the Laurens County Sheriff's Office for more information but they stated that they could not give out any at this time.
