Macon-Bibb officials: Worst of storm on its way
MACON, Ga. -- Macon-Bibb County officials warn that the worst of Monday's storm is coming between 2 and 8 p.m.
According to County spokesperson Chris Floore, we can then see the heaviest rains and the highest winds.
The EMA asks residents to get to their safe place as soon as possible and stay there.
Macon-Bibb can expect wind gusts between 50 and 50 mph for the next several hours. Flash flooding is possible.

Georgia Power is staged at the Macon Coliseum and should have 1,300 responders ready to begin work once the storm passes.
The Georgia Department of Transportation pulled nearly 800 workers from debris cleanup for safety reasons until the storm passes as well.
There are outages reported in 543,000 homes statewide, according to Georgia Power.
