Macon native Jason Aldean to play Atlanta's SunTrust Park
ATLANTA, Ga. -- Macon native and country music star Jason Aldean will play Atlanta's SunTrust Park -- home of the Atlanta Braves -- this summer as part of his High Noon Neon Tour.
The concert is scheduled for July 21.
Aldean announced at a press conference Wednesday morning that his opening acts will be:
- Lauren Alaina
- Luke Combs
- Darius Rucker with Hootie & the Blowfish
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, March 23. Pre-sale starts Tuesday, March 20. Prices will be:
Aldean says he's a lifelong Braves fan, which is a major reason he wanted to play SunTrust. Braves Hall-of-Famer Chipper Jones presented Aldean and Alaina with a custom Atlanta jersey during Wednesday's announcement.
Aldean has released seven albums -- six which have been certified platinum. Also, 19 of his singles have reached no. 1 on the charts.
Hootie & the Blowfish, led by Rucker, has sold more than 21 million copies of their albums in the U.S. Their 1994 album "Cracked Rear View" has been certified platinum 16 times.
Combs, a new country artist, has three well-known singles, including the popular song "Hurricane."
Alaina -- a Rossville, Ga., native -- has released two studio albums, her latest in 2017.
