Man arrested in Washington County drug bust
SANDERSVILLE, Ga. -- On Friday, a drug bust led to the arrest of a Washington County man and the seizure of marijuana and cocaine.
According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the Ocmulgee Regional Drug Task Force along with the sheriff's office and the Department of Community Supervision executed a search warrant at a home on Ivey Drive in Sandersville.
During a search of the home, authorities found a quantity of marijuana, cocaine, a digital scale and $680.
Demetrius Lewis, 39, was arrested at the home and charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. The sheriff's office says that more charges are possible pending the outcome of the investigation.
