Monroe Co. Sheriff's Office: Man involved in Macon theft, chase also attempted carjacking
BOLINGBROKE, Ga. -- Authorities in Monroe County are looking for a man who they say attempted to steal someone's vehicle after allegedly stealing from a Macon store then leading authorities on a chase.
According to Sgt. Lawson Bittick with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the same man involved in the theft of iPhones from a Cricket Wireless in Macon was responsible for the attempted carjacking on Williamson Drive in Bolingbroke.
The man was seen dressed in a black crop-top shirt, black shorts and wearing a red wig.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, two men led authorities on a chase into Bolingbroke from Macon after the theft. One man was arrested shortly after but two got away.
