New hearings set for Warner Robins man indicted for '94 murder, '88 rape
HOUSTON CO., Ga. -- Two hearings will take place Friday in Houston County Superior Court regarding the Warner Robins man accused of murdering a 20-year-old woman in 1994.
In May 2015, WGXA learned that Homer Ridley, III -- age 45 at the time -- was indicted on one count of Malice Murder and two counts of Felony Murder for the 1994 death of then 20-year-old Summer Gleaton.
According to the indictment, Ridley, III is accused of drowning Gleaton in a bathtub on December 1, 1994. He's also accused of binding her wrists and ankles.
A hearing for that indictment will take place Friday from 10:30-10:45 a.m. in Courtroom 3.
Ridley, III, was also indicted for Rape, Kidnapping, False Imprisonment, Burglary and Possession of Firearm During Commission of a Crime. These counts are all related to a 1988 incident.
According to the indictment, Ridley, III, is accused of raping a woman on August 22, 1988. The indictment also says he held her against her will, detained her without her permission, entered a Warner Robins home on Calhoun Drive and possessed a firearm.
A hearing for that indictment will take place Friday at 10 a.m. in Courtroom 1.
