Couple's domestic violence incident turns deadly for man killed in fatal wreck

MACON, Ga. -- A Macon couple is now facing charges after their domestic argument lead to a fatal wreck that killed an innocent man on Saturday evening.
Bibb deputies say Edwin Jamaal Williams, 28, and his girlfriend Kristy Nicoshen Buckner, 23, of Macon got into a heated altercation at their College Park apartment on Williamson Rd, sometime before 6 p.m.
Witnesses told investigators that Williams assaulted Buckner, by choking her then left the apartment. Shortly after, Buckner retrieved a pistol and went after Williams who left the complex in his car, a Chevy Caprice Classic station wagon.
Buckner reportedly then got behind the wheel of her Honda Accord and began to follow Williams while firing several shots at his car. As Williams tried to get away from Buckner, he made a right onto Williamson Rd.
The couple then approached the intersection at Bloomfield Dr., causing Williams run a traffic light and collide with a Ford Explorer, driven by Precell Carlton Brooks Jr. ,47, of Macon, who was heading south.
The crash caused Brooks’ SUV to overturn and he was ejected from the vehicle. Williams’ car continued on and hit the front of the Abundant Harvest Church.
Williams and Brooks were both taken to the Medical Center at Navicent Health, where Brooks later died from his injures. At last check, Williams was treated for his injures and later booked into the Bibb County Jail, where he's being held on a $16,700 bond for charges of aggravated assault for chocking his girlfriend.
Kristy Buckner now faces charges of murder in connection to death Brooks's death and aggravated assault for shooting at her boyfriend Williams.
