Man shot to death by fellow burglar while breaking into Macon home
MACON, Ga. -- Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in Macon.
According to Bibb County Sheriff David Davis, a person was shot to death while attempting to burglarize a home on Bradstone Circle.
A release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office states that two black males forced open the front door of the home. The homeowner was home and yelled at the suspects.
One suspect, James Robert Young, 41, dropped a television he was carrying. The second suspect turned and fired a shot, striking Young in the head.
Young was pronounced dead on scene.
The shooter left the home and is still on the run. Davis said that the only information he has on the suspect is that he is a black male and that he is considered armed and with violent tendencies.
Only one shot was fired during the incident. The homeowner was not injured.
No information is available about the victim.
