Authorities are investigating after two bodies were found inside a Macon County home Friday afternoon/Jennifer Munoz (WGXA)

OGLETHORPE, Ga. -- The Georgia Bureau of Investigation on Monday morning identified the two people found dead in a Macon County home Friday afternoon.

GBI tells WGXA the victims are Ruth Bracknell, 77, and Mark Abbott, 53 -- mother and son who both lived in the Erie Street home in Oglethorpe.

An autopsy is set for later Monday to determine the cause of death.

Friday afternoon, GBI told WGXA a person found two family members dead inside the home around 1:30 p.m. They then called EMS.

Police said they're treating both as suspicious deaths.

By 5:30 p.m. Friday, the GBI received a search warrant and started the process of gathering evidence from the home.
