Proposal: Macon fast food restaurant to be torn down for new medical office

A proposal to be heard by Macon-Bibb Planning and Zoning calls for a former fast food restaurant to be torn down and replaced by a new medical office.

MACON, Ga. - A proposal to be heard by Macon-Bibb Planning and Zoning calls for a former fast food restaurant to be torn down and replaced by a new medical office.

The former Church's Chicken location located on Georgia Avenue near I-75 would be torn down if this proposal is approved.

Developers plan to build a dialysis center with pharmacy in it's place. The new 2-story building would also have medical office space on the second floor.

The former restaurant shut down in 2017 and has been boarded up since they closed.

The proposal will be considered at the April 23, 2018 Planning and Zoning meeting.
