Proposed changes to Macon-Bibb's alcohol code shows license increases

MACON, Ga. -- Macon-Bibb Commission on Tuesday discussed potential changes to the county's alcohol code.

Propositions include changing the application fee from $150 to $400; a beer manufacturer license from $1,000 to $2,500; a wine manufacturer license from $1,000 to $1,500; and a liquor license from $1,000 to $5,000.

The proposed change to the brewpub license fee is a jump of $1,000 to $5,000.

Commissioners are looking to schedule a public hearing on the changes soon.
