Warner Robins, GA-- On Monday, Real Men Real Issues of Warner Robins launched its summer life enrichment program for children living within the Warner Robins Housing Authority, specifically within the TJ Calhoun Homes housing community.

The new summer camp program, titled Bridging the Gap aims to give kids a place to go for the summer, while providing mentors and tutoring in areas of math, English & reading. President of the Real Men Real Issues organization, Gary Mcghee said the program is ultimately about making the children productive members and contributors to society. "The camp is to empower kids to the point of having, making life changing experiences through all type of learning. Placing them in environments that they sometimes otherwise wouldn't be placed in, to kinda make them see that there's all kinds of different aspects in life, besides their little circle they sometimes travel in and also to take them to show them that, through working together with each other, it not only helps them, but it helps the adults as well." said McGhee

The Life Enrichment program sponsored by Bridging the Gap will continue through Thursday, July 14th and will be held at the TJ Calhoun Homes housing office located at 400 Green Street in Warner Robins. The program is also seeking more volunteers to serve as mentors for youth and donations to support the program.

If you would like to donate your time, please contact Gary McGhee at (478)974-9271 or visit the organization's website.
