'Roast and Toast' to be held in honor of Cherry Blossom Festival founder
MACON, Ga. -- Cherry Blossom Festival founder Carolyn Clayton will be roasted in a comedy show at the Anderson Conference Center at 5171 Eisenhower Pkwy. on March 23 at 6 p.m.
Macon artist Mark Ballard will "roast and toast" Clayton and said that there are a lot of stories to share after over 30 years of planning festivals.
Ballard said, "She has been very instrumental in the festival and many lives have been crossed with her, including mine, and I have all kinds of stories to share - some of which I can't share the whole story but we have old pictures and some surprise guests, and you know it's going to be a tribute."
