Sonny Carter Elem. hosts STEM night
MACON, Ga. -- Thursday night was STEM night at Sonny Carter Elementary School.
Kids focused their skills in science, engineering, technology and math.
Georgia Power was part of the event to demonstrate the Power town.
It's an exhibit that shows different electrical safety concerns.
Mary Kathryn Brundige said events like these are important for students to experience fun events outside of normal school hours.
"They're very important," Brundige said. "It's great to have the kids come after school and do these fun things. We don't always have in the classroom to have a fun activity so when they come after and have this enrichment, it's great for them."
This is the fourth year the school put on the event.
