Students display Parkwood PRIDE at annual pep rally
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- Students at Parkwood Elementary celebrated their annual Parkwood Pride pep rally on Tuesday.
The event is promoted through the school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports program.
Parkwood students define PRIDE as power, respect, integrity, determination and empathy.
The program is to help promote appropriate student behaviors and create positive school environments.
Principal Janet Sorrell said this program brings a lot of students participation.
"Oh I think Parkwood Pride has brought a lot to the school," Sorrell said. "Kids are excited to participate in the celebrations and they want to compete to have the best behavior in academics. It's a friendly competition because we're a family here and I think Parkwood Pride helps us all act in a global community kind of family."
Students who showed the most pride throughout last year were awarded at Tuesday's pep rally.
This was the fourth annual rally.
