Three men wanted in connection to attempted burglary at Macon gun store

MACON, Ga. -- Three men are wanted in connection to an attempted gun store burglary early Wednesday morning.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, the men attempted to break into Eagle Gun Range at 109 Woodfield Drive just before 2:30 a.m.

Surveillance footage showed that the men walked to the back of the store then back up to the front.

The alarm sounded as they tried to break into the front door and the men fled on foot.

Owner Hamp Dowling said he secures each weapon in the store at closing each day.

"We go through a program every night of shut down," Dowling said. "We make sure everything is followed, all of our security mesasures is followed. Everything is locked down, locked down tight, anything that is laying around. We can't secure everything away but we put every firearm away every night. We just don't want to lose any guns."
