Three teens arrested for string of Macon robberies
MACON, Ga. -- Three people were arrested Thursday in connection to several armed robberies that have occurred at Macon businesses since late April/
According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, Terrica Vinson, 19, Travon Howard, 18, and Deiondre Howard, 19, were all taking into custody by sheriff's office investigators and U.S. Marshals Thursday for the robberies of Ultra Shoes, Econo Lodge, Baymont Inn & Suites, Sally's Beauty Supply, Family Dollar and three Subway restaurants.
The sheriff's office said that they made the connection between the suspect in a robbery of a Subway restaurant that took place on Thursday and the suspect in several other commercial armed robberies. Investigators also discovered that a vehicle involved in the robbery of Sally's Beauty Supply on May 10 was also used in the robbery of a Family Dollar.
That vehicle had been seen occupied by a female at a local business. The woman, later identified as Vinson, had been asking about an item at the store and was called back to the store to check on the merchandise.
When she returned to the store, authorities detained her and two men who were also in the vehicle, later identified as Travon and Deiondre Howard.
All three were charged with armed robbery of the eight aforementioned businesses. Deiondre Howard was also charged with criminal trespass, theft by shoplifting and a probation violation.
All three are being held without bond.
