Two charged with trafficking meth after Macon traffic stop
MACON, Ga. -- Two people were arrested Thursday on drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop in Macon.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, Thursday at around 3 p.m., a Bibb deputies and a K9 deputy made a traffic stop on Riverside Drive on a vehicle following an investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the sheriff's office Special Investigations Unit.
The two people inside the vehicle were identified as Katherine Amanda-Lynn Scrimpsher, 25, of Warner Robins and Hennessy Alonzo Whitfield, Sr., 39, of Macon.
Investigators and deputies found about 102 grams of methamphetamine with an approximate street value of $10,000 inside the vehicle. They also found other unidentified powder substances and scales.
Scrimpsher and Whitfield were charged with trafficking methamphetamine.
