Warner Robins schools placed on lockdown due to possible person with a gun in area
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- Pearl Stephens Elementary School in Warner Robins was placed on lockdown due to a possible suspect with a gun in the area Thursday morning.
According to the Warner Robins Police Department on Twitter, no shots have been fired and no one is reported injured at this time.
The school and others in the area were placed on a code red lockdown as of about 11:30 Thursday morning, according to the police department. That code red was lifted at about 11:45 a.m. and altered to code yellow.
At about 12:15 p.m., Principal Gloria Smith exited the school an announced that the code yellow down was lifted.
The suspects are described as two black males--one with dreads--seen with possible gun. Officers are canvassing the area.
