UPDATE: Woman, 43, dies in fatal Warner Robins crash; Child in serious condition
UPDATE 3 P.M. WEDNESDAY
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- Warner Robins police say 43-year-old Trevonda Bryant was one of two victims killed in Tuesday night's head-on collision in Warner Robins. A child in a car seat who was thrown from a vehicle during the wreck is also in the hospital in serious condition.
The wreck happened on Watson Boulevard. Bryant's Kia SUV was hit by a 61-year-old man driving a Ford F-150.
The man died at the hospital Wednesday morning. His name has not yet been released.
Police say there were two passengers in the SUV.
The backseat passenger was transported to the Medical Center, Navicent Health. The other passenger -- a child in a car seat -- was thrown from the vehicle and received serious injuries.
The child was transported to the Medical Center Navicent Health and then to the Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.
UPDATE 1 P.M. WEDNESDAY
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- A second person from Tuesday night’s wreck on Watson Boulevard in Warner Robins died Wednesday morning.
Houston County Coroner Danny Galpin says a 61-year-old man died at the hospital around 8 a.m. He was the driver of the Ford F-150.
Officials have not yet released the names of the victims.
The accident is still under investigation.
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- Warner Robins police responded to a fatal accident Tuesday evening.
A release from the police department says that officers responded just after 6:45 p.m. to the intersection of Watson Blvd. and Austin Ave. about a head-on wreck.
A Ford F-150 traveling east on Watson Blvd. crossed the median into oncoming traffic and hit a Kia SUV head on. Another vehicle was side swiped in the accident.
Officials announced the driver of the Kia dead at the scene. The Kia's passenger and the driver of the Ford F-150 were taken to a local hospital.
The department's Traffic Unit is investigating the accident.
