Woman arrested for Warner Robins armed robbery, burglary
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- A woman was arrested Wednesday after police say she robbed a Warner Robins store at gunpoint then burglarized another.
According to the Warner Robins Police Department, Aniya Green, 19, entered the Bi-Lo Mart on Green Street with a handgun just after midnight Wednesday and demanded money from the clerk.
After she got cash, she reportedly attempted to flee the store but the clerk pressed an emergency button that locks all of the doors. At that time police say Green shot the glass and ran.
Then, at about 5:23 a.m., officers responded to a burglary in progress at Citgo on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The suspect in that burglary reportedly got inside the store by breaking the front door.
When officers arrived on scene of the burglary, they allegedly found Green inside the building wearing clothes that matched the description of the Bi-Lo Mart armed robbery that took place a few hours earlier.
Green was arrested and charged with armed robbery, burglary, criminal damage to property in the first degree and criminal damage to property in the second degree.
