Warner Robins: Food Truck Friday offers something for everyone
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- Robins Air Force Base and the displays at the Museum of Aviation are not the only things going for the city of Warner Robins.
Food Truck Friday is a Warner Robins tradition that locals enjoy every week.
Vendors and customers come to the Museum of Aviation each Friday afternoon for a taste of something different.
"I happen to work on base so we decided to come the great food that the food trucks have here," said food truck customer Hector Hernandez.
People like Hernandez say they make a special point to get some lunch from the food trucks that roll into the Museum of Aviation each Friday.
Gerard Andre operates Edenz Vegetarian Restaurant in Macon. He is one of the many vendors that brings their food to the people instead of having customers come to them.
"We have a lot of customers that, because we are set up here, that come to the restaurant in Macon," Andre said. "I've got customers that come to the market on Thursdays that come here as well. It's been good for business and has given us a lot more exposure."
Cooks make a serve just about any kind of food you could want.
Hernandez said there is something for everyone.
"As you can tell, behind me there's one of the food trucks that makes food from South America," he said. "There's some great barbecue to my right and some great cupcakes and ice cream."
Food Truck Friday runs from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. every Friday at the Museum of Aviation.
