Early voting open across Georgia
ATLANTA, Ga. -- Early voting has started across Georgia for the Nov. 7 elections.
Municipal and special elections will take place throughout the state, including many local races in Middle Georgia.
Early voting will be open through Nov. 3, though voters with paper ballots should mail them in as soon as possible.
“I want to make sure that every Georgian who is eligible has the opportunity to vote in the November 7th elections,” Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp said in a statement. “Be sure to take advantage of the early voting process.”
Voters can get information by downloading the GA SOS app on their smartphone or by texting “GA” to “2VOTE".
Absentee ballots received after the close of polls on Election Day will not be counted.
