All-clear issued at Emory University in Atlanta after 'police emergency'
UPDATE 5:45 p.m. - Emory University issued an all-clear after what the school called a "police emergency."
ATLANTA, Ga. (WGXA) -- Authorities are responding to a "police emergency" on Emory University's campus in Atlanta.
An alert sent out to students and over the Emory Police Twitter account just before 5 p.m. Wednesday advised those on campus to shelter in place.
WSB-TV, an Atlanta ABC affiliate, is reporting that the DeKalb Police say they went to arrest a person at the VA hospital but they got away.
People on the university's campus reported hearing sirens shortly after the alert was sent out.
