Mercer win streak reaches double-digits

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Make it 10 wins in a row for the Mercer women's basketball team after their 90-74 win over UNC Charlotte on Saturday afternoon.

Kahlia Lawrence once again led the way for the Bears with 27 points, seven rebounds and six assists and three steals while KeKe Calloway added 18 points, two rebounds and three assists.

Mercer shot well from the field in the game hitting 56.9 percent of their shots. With Saturday's 90-point performance, the Bears have now scored 90 points or more three times in the month of December.

The win was the last game of the 2017 calendar year for the Bears. So far, Susie Gardner's team is 13-2. Mercer begins Southern Conference play on Thursday, Jan. 4 playing at Wofford.
