MACON, GA -- Nobu Suzuki is a major factor in this series.

The Catamounts second baseman accounted for all three of his team's runs as Western Carolina took the series over Mercer with a 3-2 victory Friday night at OrthoGeorgia Park.

Suzuki started the scoring with a two-run single in the first before adding a solo home run in the fourth inning. Brendan Nail earned the win on the hill for the Catamounts tossing seven strong innings dialing up 11 strikeouts.

Jackson Ware delivered a solo shot to cut the Bears' deficit to 3-2 but Mercer did not get any closer.
