Bibb County Parks and Recreation added a juggernaut on the diamond this evening.

Vine Ingle Little League and Freedom Park softball conjoined to merge softball and baseball under one body. Several Freedom Park softball parents were concerned about the lack of an all-star game for the girls. They brought those concerns to Vine Ingle Little League governing body, and they unanimously decided to merge Freedom Park with Vine Ingle.

The excitement for this merger starts at the top.

"We are going to become one organization together, to build a bigger, stronger league," as Vine Ingle president Rad Massey said. "Stronger, better recreational park and we are really excited to have Freedom Park join us in the coming years."

The merger will take effect in the spring of 2017, for the baseball and softball seasons.
