Peach County looks like contender against Northside

FORT VALLEY, Ga. -- The Peach County Trojans enter the season as one of the favorites to take home the AAA state title at season's end. If Friday night is any indication of what is to come, the Trojans are one dangerous team.

The Trojans beat the Northside Eagles 13-10 in a preseason scrimmage on Friday night in Fort Valley. Peach County jumped out to a 13-0 lead at halftime thanks to two first half touchdowns from Trevon Woolfolk. Senior quarterback Antonio Gilbert looked every part of a senior leader as the Eagles keyed on Kearis Jackson for most of the game.

The Eagles started junior Jaden Daniels at quarterback. Junior Deshawn Cumby scored the lone touchdown for the Eagles.

Peach County begins their regular season on August 25 at Houston County. Northside opens up next Friday against Warner Robins.
