Demonettes star Shynia Jackson signs with ETSU
WARNER ROBINS, GA -- Early signing period ceremonies continued Thursday at Warner Robins High School.
Demonettes hooper Shynia Jackson honored her commitment to East Tennessee State University by signing with the Lady Bucs Thursday morning in front of friends and family at Warner Robins High School.
Jackson led the Demonettes to a region championship and a quarterfinal appearance in the GHSA AAAAA playoffs last season. Her versatility makes her a dangerous matchup at the high school level and will help her succeed at the college game.
"I can switch positions," Jackson said. "I can go from a guard to a post. I'm blessed that I can do that. If they need to use me at the three or the two, or the four or the five, I can be able to go to those positions and use them."
Jackson gave thanks to her friends, family and coaches for making signing day possible.
"They never left my side to begin with," Jackson said. "They blessed me, I have to bless them back. That's the reason I'm trying to be successful in my life to come back to prove who I am to my community."
Warner Robins opens the season Nov. 21 against Dodge County.
