MACON, GA -- Slowly but surely Mount de Sales developed into one of the top high school baseball teams in the area the past few seasons.

This season the Cavaliers reached their full potential. At 19-6, de Sales has not only reached their best mark in program history, but they're making their name known at the college level.

Four seniors; Jake Lipson, Adam Leverett, Zack Tong and Brady Pool all signed their national letters of intent Tuesday afternoon. The boys are ready for the college game, but they still have some unfinished business in the region.

"Well Coach Poole said that after our two games against Tattnall yesterday that we're going get another chance at these guys," said Leverett. "We knew they would be where they're at and we knew that's how we had to go with against them you know. I'm ready for it and I'm ready for the challenge. Playing Tattnall is always fun."

After a 6-4 road win at Aquinas in Wednesday's Region 7-A Semifinal, Mount de Sales gets another shot at mighty Tattnall, the defending two-time region champs. The Trojans rolled through the region at a 10-0 mark including two wins over the Cavaliers earlier this season. Those two victories came six weeks ago against a different Cavalier team, one that's now ready to dethrone the champs.

"We want to beat Tattnall," said Pool. "We struggled with them the past couple of years and they're a heck of a ball club but i think this is our year. Time to grab a region championship."

Tattnall took down Mount de Sales 2-0 in last year's region championship. The rematch is set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Tattnall.
