Tattnall goes deep in semifinal shutout win

MACON, GA -- After riding the arm of Garrett Houston through the first few innings, Tattnall used the long ball to punch their ticket to the Region 7-A Championship with a 7-0 win over rival Stratford Wednesday night at home.

After a Trey Ham solo shot in the second inning second inning, Tattnall opened the game up in the fourth after Logan Simmons and Destin Mack each went yard.

Houston earned the win on the mound for the Trojans who will go for their third straight region title Saturday at home.

Tattnall will face Mount de Sales who topped Aquinas 6-3 in Augusta. The Trojans swept the season series against the Cavaliers.
