Taylor County football star commits to Tennessee
BUTLER, GA -- Tennessee Head Football Coach Butch Jones received his second commitment from the Middle Georgia area for the 2018 class in Taylor County's Lyn-J Dixon.
The running back announced his commitment to the Volunteers in a Twitter video. Dixon, the state's second ranked running back by Rivals.com in the 2018 class, received offers from SEC powers including Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
As a junior, Dixon paced the Vikings with 1,914 yards and 35 touchdowns (MaxPreps). Taylor County finished last season 10-2 with a second-round loss to Commerce in the GHSA A-Public bracket.
Last month, Baldwin Wide Receiver Jatavious Harris gave a verbal commitment to the Vols as well. Tennessee finished last season 9-4 with a 38-24 victory over Nebraska in the 2016 Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl.
