MACON, Ga. -- Christmas season is the season of giving, and the Macon Mayhem gave the Fayetteville Marksmen plenty of problems on Saturday night with their 9-0 win. The Mayhem (9-5-4) wearing their "Ugly Christmas Sweater" jerseys dominated the Marksmen from the opening face off to the end of the game.

Stephen Pierog got the scoring started with a goal in the first period to make it 1-0. After the first goal, fans threw teddy bears on to the ice, all of which were collected and given to the Children's Hospital at Navicent Heath.

Paul Russell, Dennis Sicard, John Siemer and Pierog each scored one goal, Ryan Salkeld scored two goals, and Darren McCormick had a hat trick.

The Macon Mayhem play again next Friday against the Pensacola Ice Flyers at the Centreplex.
