Trask nets game winner as Mayhem take Game 1

PENSACOLA, FL -- Jake Trask scored with under two minutes remaining breaking a 2-2 tie as the Macon Mayhem earned a 3-2 win over Pensacola in Game 1 of the SPHL Semifinals Wednesday night on the road.

The Mayhem jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a first period goal by Ryan Michel. The momentum swung Pensacola's way after two quick goals early in the third period by Patrick Megannetty and Ken Neil.

Stephen Pierog notted things up at the 14:05 mark of the period before Trask delivered the dagger at 18:05.

Jordan Ruby recorded 32 saves on 34 shots faced. The Mayhem grab a 1-0 lead. Game 2 will take place Friday night at the Macon Centreplex with a 7:35 puck drop.
